Day-to-Day Work: When I edit with a producer, I always yell, "Can you leave me alone to edit!" When I work alone I yell "Can someone come in here and help me please??!!"
Personal or Profession Idol: William Friedkin.......... Any director who slaps his actors in the face to get a "natural" reaction is okay in my book.
What's on my Desk: note cards, multicolored sharpies, the largest starbucks coffee possible, 4 MG Nicotine Gum, many "Don't Touch!!!" post its, a small mirror attached to the monitor (so I can secretly watch producers reactions), a large plaque with the names and a picture of every assistant editor I've fired and a small flask of Sambuca.
Guilty Pleasure: lying in my bathtub while singing every song from the Sweeny Todd soundtrack.......very very Loud.
When not working: I play classical piano, funk bass and I drag my wife around Manhattan and try to break the world record for most bars, restaurants , museums and concert venues visited in one 24 hour period.
